Wednesday May 1st 1878 It rained all day long. I gave up my visit to the valley. I was sewing all day & made May another dress. Hatt went to the temperance supper at night. I did some mending. We hear Uncle Jacob came to town today. And went to the valley. Thursday May 2nd 1878 I helped do the housework all the morning and in the afternoon sewed on a dress for May. Uncle Jacob was here. We had a real good visit with him. We got an early supper for him. And Rob walked to the depot with him. Mother and I went to church in the evening. Friday May 3rd 1878 I cleaned up the house this morning while Hatt did some washing. We then got dinner and in the afternoon I did some baking and the ironing which took me till after six oclock. Mother spent the day at Mrs Moores. Win was over this afternoon and Hatt began my white shawl. I went to society night at
