Friday November 8th 1878 It took most of the time today to do the work. I was nearly sick. Martha stayed till after dinner. I walked over to Folsoms with her. When I came home found Mrs Howe here. We got supper over early as we were going to Watsons to the social. Had to drive over town for Whetstone. It was a splendid night. We had a pleasant time. Saturday November 9th 1878 I helped with the work till three oclock. Mother was to town in the forenoon. Mollie Stevens was here a little while. I went to town about four oclock took John Henderson some biscuits and came up to the Prinney House and stayed till bed time. Mother came over in the evening. Sunday November 10th 1878 It was a faithful rainy day. No one was here nor did we go any place. I read and rested what time I had from doing the work and went to bed early.
