Thursday November 28 1978 Thanksgiving day. I did not observe it very well. We sewed all day. Mother took a ride in the afternoon. The Pinney girls were here awhile and Win and Lizzie Irish were here for supper and to spend the evening. I was so tired I was nearly sick this evening. I began to work on my old dress and my new one is nearly done. Friday November 29th 1878 We sewed all day and Mifs S. stayed all night and we worked in the evening. We have both the dresses so we can finish them up tomorrow. Weather pleasant. Saturday November 30th 1878 We girls sewed all day and I all the evening to finish up what work we had on hand. John Whetstone was over in the evening. After he went home Mother and I cleaned up things in the sitting room a little. I am glad it is Saturday night. We have done a big weeks work
