Thursday February 13th 1879. Hatt did the washing this morning and I cleaned up the house. I did not have much time in the afternoon it was so late before the dinner work was done. I cut up a few carpet rags. After supper I sewed them and cut up an old wrapper of Mothers. It has been a very cold day. I am very tired and a little sick. Friday February 14th 1879. We ironed this forenoon and Mother went to town right away after dinner. I baked cake and cleaned up the kitchen sewed rags about an hour when I got done before time to get supper. I did some mending in the evening and finished the rags. Hatt went down to Aunt Ems to the social. Weather still cold. Saturday February 15th 1879 We girls got the work done as soon as possible this morning and at half past nine were started for the depot to attend the carpet rag sewing down at Downey by invitation from Mrs Felkner Went around for Win and Father was to bring
