evening. I did not like it as well as others before it. Weather more pleasant. Saturday February 22nd 1879. I did a large washing this forenoon. About twelve oclock Hatt took a notion to go to Burlington at half past two with Rob. I helped get the dinner and let her get ready It took Mother and I all the afternoon to do the baking. I sewed carpet rags in the evening. Sunday February 23rd 1879. I did not feel well so I did not go to church. It took the forenoon to do the work. I read in the afternoon and in the evening wrote a letter to Lizzie Lindley. It was eight years ago tonight that she was married. Monday February 24th 1879. I did the ironing this morning and helped with the dinner. Mother made the beds. In the afternoon she washed out some things Went over town and got some things to fix for May. I began to help with the supper as soon as I got home. Sewed carpet rags all the evening.
