Sunday March 30th 1879 I helped do up the work before I went to church. In the afternoon I rested and read. Mother and Lee went to take a ride. Hatt went to the valley with John Whetstone. I read aloud to Win all the evening she has sat up most of today. Ray Billingsley was here to supper. Monday March 31st 1879 It rained al day. We all worked in the carpet rags all the spare time we had. I wrote a long letter to Aunt Mellissa tonight. Win has been up all day. Mother has not felt well. Tuesday April 1st 1879 Weather cold and windy. We had baking to do as I helped in the kitchen till dinner time. I went to town in the afternoon in the buggy and attended to ever so many errands. Hatt went down to Robinsons in the afternoon and we young folks went down to spend the evening, had a real pleasant time. I began a pair of muslin lambrequins. I had a letter from Esther today.
