Tuesday April 8th 1879 I washed six quilts and that old carpet before dinner and worked in the cellar till suppertime. We got it all cleaned out May is four years old today. Win went home. Wednesday April 9th 1879 We all peeled apples to spice till noon and in the afternoon we cleaned Mothers room and fixed things in the parlor bedroom. Thursday April 10th 1879 I washed this forenoon and as soon as I ate my dinner finished peeling the apples while Hatt cleaned up the parlor and sitting room. I went to town about five oclock called at Smiths. I took supper with Win and spent the evening there. The Distillery burned this evening just before night. Friday April 11th 1879 I ironed this evening and in the afternoon we cleaned the dining room. I was tired tonight but went to society as Otto was on duty
