Tuesday January 1st 1935 A cold day. I was busy here at home. Rob came in for a short call. Mrs Gay home most of the afternoon. We listened to the game in the Rose Bowl at Pasadena late in PM Alabama beat Stanford. Late in the evening Eloise Hedges called to say Frank Wolf died at three o'clock. Tishie & Jeannie go over tomorrow. No mail or paper today. Mrs Welsh here ironing. Wrote Erma Herriot late bed time. Wednesday January 2 - 1935 Weather pleasanter it thawed considerable. I had letters from LeGrand [Winnie?] & Mrs Doyle. Rob took me to Oxford with him. Did not get home till noon. crotcheted my spare time. Ott here late in PM. I wrote letters to Ott Seibert. Ida [Bridis?] & card to Winnie Mrs Gay away in evening. Thursday January 3- 1935 Very cold I was busy at home all day. Mrs Gay at the shop Ott here a few moments late in PM. He brought me my bank statement. Friday January 4- 1935 I worked at my crochet work very steady most of the day. Mrs Gay and I had lunch alone. Elaine Hedges called early in the evening to say her mother & Jennie got home from Delavan. Weather more moderate.
