Monday January 28- 1935 I was home all day working at crochet. Mr Gay got home before noon. The sun shone today and melted some the ice. Ott in Davenport. Tuesday January 29- 1935 Still busy at home. Tishie Hedges here part of the afternoon. Later Hattie came and Cora came for her. Mrs. Welsh here washing and helping. Wednesday January 30- 1935 I was home all day busy with crochet work Ott here at noon. He brought the affidavit I was to sign and send to Ott Seibert, and deposit check for 800, paid by Rate. In the evening Rob look Hattie Cora and me to movie "David Copperfield" wonderful. Thursday January 31st 1935 The streets have ice again Mr Gay went north again I had letters from LeGrand & Erma Heriott and a card from Minnie Kepler with her mothers address in Long Beach. Wrote Mattie Still Ott Siebert Jennie Meckler & Nellie Swisher. I finished the last of the two chair protector sets for Mrs Gay at late bed time Friday February 1st 1935. I was sewing all day on a pair of sheets that needed changing. Ott came down at noon for a call and brought my bank statement. Not so cold today Mrs Gay to the picture David Copperfield in the evening letter from Harry Able.
