Monday March 11- 1935 Hattie came down late in forenoon and William here a few moments. Cora came and took Mrs Gay Hattie & Mrs [Frayter?] out to The Old Ladies home for lunch. I ate mine here and Cora left me at Andersons for the afternoon. Hattie came over there and Cora came for us. Letter from Ida (wrote her) and Mrs [Dayten?] in Los Angeles who told me she heard Gertrude Mitchells husband in Oklahoma City had a stroke. Here alone in evening. Tuesday March 12- 1935 William took me to Mercy hospital before nine oclock Hattie came to stay with me all day. Dr Ned Smith with Dr Woolf operated on my face before noon. I lay very quiet the rest of the day William and Rob in to see me. Wednesday March 13- 1935 I slept most of the night Hattie back again in AM and Dr Ned here. Rob came for us at noon. I rested in afternoon. My face not quite so sore. To bed early. Thursday March 14- 1935 The Whetstones had "The Reds" meet with them today. Mary came and took me over there. Ott better. William brought me back to Gays at four oclock. I have a very sore throat. letter from Winnie Friday March 15- 1935 I was not able to get up Dr Ned came and Hattie came to stay with me as Mrs Gay must be at the shop so much of the time. I have an epidemic sore throat. I was very quiet all day. Hattie went home with Rob at 6 oclock
