Saturday March 16- 1935 Hattie came early. Dr. Ned came before noon and changed the dressing on my face. He is well pleased with the way it looks Mrs Welsh here washing and cleaning. Hattie over at Cora Morrisons in the PM. It set in to rain and snow She went home with Rob. I was up all afternoon and evening. Mr Gay out at the farm all night as he has been to care for the lambs. Sunday March 17- 1935 I was here all day. The Gays busy with their own affairs. I slept some in PM. Read in evening Monday March 18- 1935 Busy with mending and crotchet Hattie here in the forenoon. Mrs Gay away in the evening Foreman is sick I wrote Gertrude Mitchell & Hattie Dayton. Tuesday March 19- 1935 I was here all day. Hattie phoned early that Robert & Mildred had gone to St Louis last night Clifford Crosby very ill. Later the word came he had died. Mrs Bichett called and paid me interest $88.50 Hattie here too. I wrote LeGrand Letters from Birdie & Mrs Falk. Wrote cards to them. A letter to Millie Bernell in evening Dr Ned took the packing from my face It was an Indurated Ulcer Wednesday March 20- 1935 Was busy here all day. I got a lot of things ready to take to Mrs Ensign for Piney Woods school. Weather better Mary took me to Courthouse early to pay taxes. Came back in rain. Letter from Eunice Fletcher.
