Friday April 26- 1935 I slept fairly well. Hattie & Cora here in the AM Later they went to Cedar Rapids taking Birdie with them Mrs Miller here. Mrs Gay at the shop. Letter from Mrs Falk Saturday April 27- 1935 Mrs Gay told me this morning she and Mr Gay go to Chicago early tomorrow to be gone till Tuesday Dr Ned and William here in AM. Late in the PM I got up and ready to go home with Rob at 5.30. To bed early. Sunday April 28- 1935 Hattie did not feel like going to SS or church Rob about the place most of the day I was in bed all day. I slept some. Still cough very hard. Monday April 29- 1935 I begin to feel some better. Dr Ned here in AM Rob & Cora drove to Des Moines. home at bed-time Hattie & Birdie here all day. I in bed all the time Tuesday April 30- 1935 I was up a little while in AM. The girls all down town. Late in the PM Hattie & Cora to a tea at Mrs McClintocks Carrie Hess died suddenly late yesterday The Gays home. Ott improving each day Wednesday May 1st- 1935 A cold windy day. Hattie & Cora worked in the attic getting ready for men to begin work soon William & Dr Ned here. He goes away tomorrow for a few days Letters from LeGrand and Emily Bremson.
