Thursday May 2- 1935 Birdie got packed and ready to go home with the [Harmes?] but they did not come by for her I was up an hour in the PM. Wrote Winnie. Weather dark drizzling rain Friday May 3- 1935 I was in bed till late afternoon Wrote Lorna & Mrs Falk Hattie & Birdie down town in afternoon to picture show It snowed in AM. But soon melted away. Saturday May 4- 1935 I was in bed most of the day My cough not so bad I wrote to LeGrand. Rob took the girls over to the stadium to see and hear the High school band here to compete spent the evening in Hattie's room talking to Birdie & her Sunday May 5- 1935 The Whetstones took Birdie to Burlington and was back for dinner. I was in bed most of the day Wrote Ida William had his Father out for a ride He did not get out here. Hattie & Cora went out to the car. I saw him from the window Monday May 6- 1935 I was in bed till late PM. Rob & Cora not here for lunch Hattie away in the afternoon William had his father here to see her on business. She and Rob went over there in evening Tuesday May 7- 1935 I was in bed most of the day. The girls worked in the attic The men expect to begin work up there Thursday I sat in Hattie's room in the evening Will would have been 87 years old today my cough is much better.
