Wednesday June 19- 1935 Another rainy day. I sewed part of the day. Mrs Gay here in the PM. She and May at work in the basement. Ott told me Le Grand will be here Tuesday, Alberta the next day & Thursday they go on. Thursday June 20- 1935 It is six years today that Fannie was taken so suddenly from us. I wrote Gertrude Mitchell in AM. wrote Lorna I fixed more things from old muslin. More rain Friday June 21st 1935 I went up to Hattie's early to spend the day Rob came for me. I began the chair back for Mrs Gays set. She has sold one she bought to Dr Ned Smith yesterday. He was here I paid him the last for my doctor bill. Saturday June 22- 1935 I crotched most of the day. No rain for the first day since Sunday. Mrs Gay busy at home part of the day. She made strawberry preserves. Sunday June 23- 1935 I had early dinner with the Byingtons and rode with them to Independence. Home at 5.30 a nice trip. I read a while in evening and to bed early Monday June 24- 1935 I was home all day busy with my crotchet work Late in the forenoon I had a call from a young lady who in writing a thesis about Stephen A Douglass
