Friday August 30th 1935 William took me up town. I did some errands and waited in the office with Ott till time to come home. In the afternoon I fixed something to wrap up the rug to send to The Mason Girls. We changed my pictures from upstairs. weather cool. Saturday August 31st 1935 The folks all moved out today at ten oclock. Miss Smith had her things put in the north Apt up stairs, mine were taken out, some will be brought down stairs later. Mollie was here part of the afternoon. Mrs Gay was at the shop part of the time. Went to bed early. Sunday September 1st 1935 A cold rainy day like November. It was late when we had breakfast. I read the papers. Slept awhile in afternoon. wrote The Mason Girls, Agnes Work, and a card to Edna Mitchell. Went to bed early. still raining. Monday September 2nd 1935 Another day of drizzle. Mrs Gay had workman and extra help and got so much done. I put away some of my things. Wrote Laura in evening. I may go over Friday. Tuesday September 3rd 1935 weather better. Hattie came done early and William came to take us to Jake Lucas funeral. We both stopped down town. I was at Dr Smith's office and did some errands. Went to the office. William & Ott brought me home. A certificate of stock and check for $100 from The Chicago Artificial Ice Co. The Gays to the circus in evening. Got the rug started to Delavan. Letter from Laura.
