Thursday September 19th 1935 Still warm. I crotcheted some. read the papers and rested in PM. Wrote Hattie. Letter from her says all well there. Rob home from Louisville. Girls here busy. Friday September 20th 1935 Edith took me over to Lizzie Duncans to spend the forenoon. The afternoon as usual. Evening on porch. Saturday September 21st 1935 The word from Harry they will come up tomorrow. They were busy with usual work. I began some other crotchet work as I have finished Edna's table cover. We rode up town late in the PM. Still warm. Sunday September 22nd 1935 Went to SS & church. When we came out found Harry & Mable there. The afternoon spent visiting. Later we went to call at Baileys north of town. Jist as we were eating supper Reed Hedges and wife came. They live in Peoria now. They had been out to see Mrs Woolf. Monday September 23rd 1935 The Masons left before lunch. The Delavan friends are greatly grieved over the sudden illness of Della Garin. There is much telephoning about it. After lunch we went to Peoria taking Mrs Woolf and Mrs Buchanan with us. I got thread to make a table cover for the girls. I wrote Hattie while in Peoria. we had supper at Borguers. The girls all got stuff at a Pekin market. I was very tired.
