Wednesday September 24th 1935 I was busy with my work all AM. We rested after lunch then went to Mrs Culbertson to call on The Clarks. Then at The Manse. Mrs Falkner spent evening here. Wednesday September 25th 1935 I am making a chair protector for Maggie McKee. The girls busy here at home. I slept in PM. Miss Garin died this AM. Edith Pittsford here for supper. very warm. Thursday September 26th 1935 It rained all day. I did some crotchet work. Letters from The Brown Girls in Piketon and Hattie. Wrote to her, Birdie & Grace McCollister. The folks had a couple of girls here to stay the night, relatives of Miss Garin. Saturday September 28th 1935 I was busy here most of AM. Letter from Ott. I signed papers and sent back. Laura not able to go to Mrs Woolfs today. Edith and I went. Bird Davidson there. We came home at 5 oclock. Laura better. weather cold. Friday September 27th 1935 The girls up early. Harry & Mabel got here at nine oclock for Miss Garins funeral. They went home at two oclock. Laura and I up town late in PM. Letter from Ott. wrote to him. Sunday September 29th 1935 Went to SS & church. went to Bird Davidsons for dinner. later got Jamie [Merrile's?] and drove to Lincoln. we saw The Parsons and went south of town to Seth Worrick and family. he worked for us when on The Hedges place. all went home with Bird for supper. Home at nine oclock.
