Friday December 6th 1935 Cora & Hattie went to Cedar Rapids. I read some and rested. a letter from Will Work an announcement of The Blacks 50th wedding anniversary from Bird [Idaho?] a business letter from The Great Western Laundry. Saturday December 7th 1935 I did not get up very early. The girls both busy at home all day. weather dark with fog most of the day. Sunday December 8th 1935 Hattie to S S & Church. Reed Hedges & wife here for a call. Ott & William late in PM. I was down stairs for both meals. Soon after supper I had an attack of pain. It got better with heat applied. Mrs Gay sent up a letter from Winnie. Monday December 9th 1935 I felt better this AM. Dr Ned came and I must stay in bed a few days. Hattie to Home board in PM. Cora down town most of the day. The anniversary of Edith's death. Tuesday December 10th 1935 Hattie down town in AM. Dr Ned here late. Mrs Gay here in PM. she brought me a card from Margie Hartwick and Edna Mitchell. Later a beautiful plant came form Mr & Mrs Gay. It is 17 years today since Will died. wrote Laura. Wednesday December 11th 1935 I read some in AM. [Homer?] was in with me in PM as the girls had their crotchet club. Hattie went to a play with The Ensigns in evening. I wrote Winnie & Grace McCallister. a nice day.
