28 Sunday March 5th 1876 A disagreeable day. I was up all day. But felt very tired at night and went to bed early I answered Mr Chase' note. Monday March 6th 1876. We worked on the carpet rags all day and got considerable accomplished. It was so muddy that we had no company. Tuesday March 7th 1876. Carpet rags again all again today and all the evening. Mollie Folsom was here most of the afternoon. Weather and roads bad. Wednesday March 8th 1876. Weather warm today and the mud is getting horrible. We put in a faithful day at the carpet rags. Hattie and Lee went to McGovern's to spend the evening. I was nearly crazy with the tooth-ache or I would have gone too. Thursday March 9th 1876. Still warm. We worked at the rags all day Hattie working in the morning while I washed and in the afternoon I took some to sew and
