68. Sunday June 18th 1876. It was a cold disagreeable morning. Uncle went to the valley. I did nothing but read besides helping with the work. Mr Van Wagenen called in the afternoon took supper and spent the evening here. I had a letter from Lou Reeves today she is coming tomorrow night. Monday June 19th 1876. We washed today and did some baking. I had a telegram that Hatt and Bird would be here tonight. About five oclock Uncle Jacob came over saying that he was going home tonight and Aunt Lydia was going with him. I fixed supper for Mother and him and she went as far as West Liberty to meet the girls. I then got supper and did up the work with Lee's help and we went over to the depot. The folks came on time and of course we were glad to see them. It was late before we got to bed. Rob did not get home though to see the girls.
