71. Friday June 23rd 1876. Mr Bently and Mr Pottle started home this morning and the boys from the valley went home. I was sewing some today Lou went to Billingsleys to supper and Winnie was over here awhile. In the evening we young folks acted the fool from sun-down till late bed-time. We had the gayest dance yet. Washed some today. Saturday June 24th 1876. I sewed some today and helped iron a little in the afternoon At five oclock all hands dressed to go over to Winnies to supper. She had a splendid supper and We had a splendid time. After supper Rob Lou and I went down to McCalls. When we got back up to Winnies we found Jim there and after talking awhile, We all adjourned to the ice-cream parlor and had a lively time. It was late when we got home and all felt that we had put in the week pretty well for we had been on the go ever since Monday night.
