73 Wednesday June 28th 1876 It took the morning to get ready to start to Des Moines which we did at ten oclock. We had a very pleasant run and when we got there at half-past three found Lizzie at the depot. We spent the remainder of the afternoon and the evening visiting with the folks. Thursday June 29th 1876. I wrote to Al this morning and a letter to Burlington and one home and did up some papers to send away. Mollie and I then took a long walk down town and did not get home till dinner was ready. I began chain-stitching a pillow case in the afternoon. Charlie McCall came in the evening and him and I went walking. I had a note from Mr Witter. Friday June 30th 1876 Mollie and I did the work this morning and Lizzie and Lou went down town
