74 I wrote a postal card to Hatt. In the evening Mr Witter called and we all went walking over to the Capitol building. It was a splendid night. Saturday July 1st 1876. It rained all day long and I put in most of the day working on my pillow case. Charlie McCall was here to play cards in the evening and Mr Witter called in the afternoon to take us in the country but it was too rainy to go. I had a splendid letter from Rob. Sunday July 2nd 1876. I wrote some in this book in the morning and then dressed myself to go take dinner with Charlie. He came after We girls and brought us back home again. We had a real pleasant time. It was quite warm in the evening so we girls did not go to church. I wrote a letter to Hatt and began one to Rob but did not finish it.
