78 Saturday July 8th 1876. A miserably warm day Hatt spent the entire day at Winnies. Mother was in town a part of the day and the rest of the family were over at different times with the exception of Lou and I. We rested and unpacked our trunk. Lee went to the show at night and the rest of us sat in the porch and talked all the evening. Sunday July 9th 1876. Mother and Father went to the valley today Just before noon Lou and I went down to Robinsons and as it looked like rain did not stay long, and though we hurried home got rained on. I put in most of the afternoon at house-work. It rained so Mother could not get home so I had all the milk to take care of. After we got the evening work done we young folks adjourned to the parlor where we laughed and talked till nearly eleven oclock.
