82 Sunday July 16th 1876. My face was all swelled up this morning I wrote letters all day. Mother went to church this morning and when she came home brought me a kind letter from Pete. How glad I was to get it. I wrote to him to Owen, Al, Will Reed and Mr Hersey. I went to bed rather early as I did not sleep very well last night. Monday July 17th 1876. As soon as the work was done up Lou and I went to town. After attending to some errands We went up to the dentists and had five teeth pulled. I felt all used up the rest of the day. Only sewed a little. Five years ago today Pete and Palmers started back to Ohio. Tuesday July 18th 1876 The girls did an immense and I cleaned up the house. I was sick all the afternoon but sewed a little. It rained terribly in the afternoon. We went to bed early. I hope I will feel better tomorrow.
