98. Friday September 1st 1876. I did not feel like doing much of any thing today I sewed some. Mother spent the day in town and Hattie did most of the work. The men were over and put the skin coat of plaster on the kitchen. The boys went to the field this afternoon. Saturday September 2nd 1876. The men came this morning and finished Mothers room. I washed out some curtains and cleaned the kitchen before dinner In the afternoon while Mother was doing some painting Hatt and I put down the sitting room carpet and put the furniture in. We put the carpet down in Mothers room and all the furniture in. Cleaned up the parlor and east bed-room and put down the carpet in the dining room. It was after lamp light when we got all done and supper ready. The boys were late coming from the field and we were a tired set tonight.
