99. Wednesday September 6th 1876. It was still rainy this morning. I sat down and made my wrapper and in the afternoon it cleared of And we girls did an enormous washing It was nearly night when we got through and it looked like rain again I brought in my things to dry in the house. I sewed a little in the evening. Thursday September 7th 1876. It cleared of in the afternoon and we started for Delavan. I worked all day ironing and packing our things. I know we are in for a good time. Father took us to the depot. There is every appearance of a storm. Friday September 8th 1876. We traveled all night in the rain and arrived in Peoria just after day light. We ate our lunch then and got a splendid cup of coffee at an eating house at the depot. After an hours wait we started to Delavan It rained on us nearly all the way. Mr Seiwell
