134 Saturday December 23rd 1876 I felt miserable all day I just poked around and helped with the work to keep myself awake and went to bed at eight oclock perfectly tired out. Sunday December 24th 1876. I helped do the work this forenoon and then sat down to write to Lou. By writing what spare time I had afternoon and evening I finished her letter and wrote to Will. Jim and Win were here in the evening. It has been a bitter cold day. Monday December 25th 1876. "Christmas". We did not observe the day at all I did rather a large washing. I did not feel a bit well. I rested all I could for I will have so much to do the last of the week. I put some binding on a coat for Pottle in the afternoon And the boys were both away in the evening. Winnie was over awhile in the afternoon. I knit in the evening And went to bed early. Rather a quiet Christmas for 1876.
