137. Saturday December 30th 1876 We got the house all cleaned up before a late dinner. Mother went to town and Elsie went over too. I knit a little in the afternoon and evening and went to bed early. Hattie is nearly sick. Sunday December 31st 1876. I helped do the work up this morning and then went down to Robinsons where I had a pleasant call. When I came home I found they had all eaten dinner. I sat down after the work was done up and began to write to Vene. Just before evening Mr Heubner called, was here about an hour I finished my letter after he went away. So ends 1876. It has been a pleasant and profitable year. I hope another new years eve may find us all here together.
