145 My old friend Pete. We were all glad to see him. He spent the afternoon and evening here. Him and I called on Mollie in the afternoon and were down to Robinsons in the evening. Hatt was down town in the afternoon and all hands went to society at night. Sunday January 21st 1877. I helped do house-work nearly all the forenoon only taking time to write a little in my diary. I helped get the dinner ready and Hatt helped with the dish washing. Pete came over in the afternoon and stayed all night. We had a sing in the afternoon and did not go to church at night but spent the evening quietly at home. Weather cold. Monday January 22nd 1877 It took all the forenoon to get the work done up and dinner ready. Soon after dinner I went out to Mrs Dennisons and spent the afternoon. I came home at five and after helping through with the supper work and went to bed early. Weather very cold.
