146 Tuesday January 23rd 1877 It was a very cold day I did the work all up this forenoon and in the afternoon I went to town and took my hat over to be fixed I had some work done on my teeth, and did not get home till supper. Wrote a note to Aunt Emma, A letter to Hattie and Al at night. Wednesday January 24th 1877 I put in the forenoon cleaning up the house and getting the clothes ready to wash. I began right away after dinner and had only time to change my dress before supper after I had finished. Pete came over before supper and spent the evening We played whist And Rob and Bently beat him and I. Thursday January 25th 1877 Weather pleasanter. I did house-work all the forenoon. And after dinner while Mother was gone to town I did some mending and washed up some carpet rags. I had a letter from Owen today.
