162 Tuesday March 6th 1877 I helped do the work most of the forenoon and marked another pair of pillow cases As soon as I had helped wash the dinner dishes I went to town. I was down to McCalls the girls are going away tomorrow. I did some little trading and got home before five oclock. The folks all went to hear Beecher lecture in the evening. I wrote to Al and Owen in the evening. Wednesday March 7th 1877. We flew around this morning and got the house all cleaned up, the washing out and a big dinner on the table by half past twelve. I knit all the afternoon and evening. It was a stormy afternoon and evening but part of the boys went to medical commencement. I intended to write some in the evening but Hatt and I got into a big discussion with Bailey on the Beecher question which lasted all the evening How we dread the winter weather again.
