163 Thursday March 8th 1877. I ironed this forenoon and mended the clothes and put them away. I knit some in the afternoon. Just at supper time Winnie came over. We had a high old time dancing and card playing. It was late before we girls went to bed. Weather very cold I wrote a note to Pete this evening Friday March 9th 1877 I helped do the work this forenoon and right away after dinner I dressed and went over to spend the afternoon with Win. Had a tip-top visit and Pete came to take us up to society which was good. Him and I took Winnie home and came right on home. I had a letter from Cousin Gilead. Saturday March 10th 1877 I did not feel well today I had such a bad cold. I knit a very little during the day But put in most of my time helping with the house-work. Mother went down town in the afternoon. I wrote to Miss Lewis at night
