167 We just did the work and I worked on my tidy in the afternoon While Hatt slept Win came over to stay all night and we had only got comfortably to work in the evening when two couple of young folks came from town to spend the evening. We had a very pleasant time. Wednesday March 21st 1877 I helped a little with the work but put in much of the day and part of the evening on my tidy I got it done. Most of the young folks went to the concert. Pete spent the evening here. Thursday March 22nd 1877 We did a large washing today and I ironed some of the things in the afternoon. Cousin Ella came to stay all night. She helped me and by working a little while before supper I fringed my tidy before nine oclock. I was tired and sleepy and went to bed early. Weather warmer and the mud terrible.
