171. Thursday March 29th 1877. I went to town this morning to tell our friends we could not see company tonight When I came home I helped get the dinner. I finished Lee's other shirt this afternoon and cut out two for Ott. Just before supper I went down to Luse's of an errand John and Ella came up tonight and they brought Emm Middleton with them. Pete was over and we all played cards and danced a little. Rob was sick and went to bed early. Pete and I had a great time doctoring him up after the folks went home. Friday March 30th 1877 It was a gloomy rainy day. I worked all day on Ottos shirts and got them done. The young folks put nearly all the day and evening playing cards. All hands went to bed early There was a concert in town tonight but the young folks could not go.
