189 and had a gay time. We got Hattie a new hat and just got home in time to get the supper I did not go to society at night but made me a new dusting cap. Saturday May 19th 1877. I helped do up the work this morning and then did a little washing The clothes were dry by noon and I ironed them before I went to town at four oclock. I tramped around till I was late home to supper and tired almost to death. I got a big bundle of dry goods for Aunt Ellen and left them at Winnies. She was over later in the evening and Pottle and Hatt took her home. Pete was over awhile. Sunday May 20th 1877. It was a very disagreeable day I helped Mother do the work And went to the valley in the afternoon with Jim Stevens. I went over to Grand-mothers and staid till nearly dark. And Uncle Jacob walked home with me. I was very tired and went to bed early.
