218. Thursday August 2nd 1877. Hatt done part of the ironing this morning and then went over to Winnies. I did most of the work as Mother is not very well. In the afternoon she went out to see Mrs Hartsock and did not get home till after supper. Hatt and Win were over in the afternoon and I did up Wins hair for her, as she is going away tonight. Hatt went to the train with her and then came back and She and Rob went to the party. Friday August 3rd 1877. We sewed carpet rags most of the day. Mrs Billingsley and her three children were here for dinner. I went to town just before supper. Aunt Mellissa took supper here. Saturday August 4th 1877. We began for a big days work washing carpet. But Jim Stevens and family with Grandma came and we put it away They were here till after supper and Mother went to town with them I worked very hard today and feeling tired, went to bed early.
