224 Monday August 20th 1877. I was up at work very early this morning. I washed and ironed both today besides fixing a black dress skirt for Mother. Weather warm. Tuesday August 21st 1877. It was a faithful rainy day. The plasterers were here at work all day. Mother and we girls quilted two comforts out the frames and got another one sewed in. I bound one tonight. Wednesday August 22nd 1877. We quilted out the other comfort this morning and got them all bound and put in the garret In the afternoon Mother went over to see Aunty and we girls washed the sitting room carpet. Thursday August 23rd 1877 We girls worked all day sewing carpet. We made for all three of the rooms in the north side of the house up stairs. I was very tired at night. Friday August 24th 1877. We girls made a cotton-bed this forenoon and after an early dinner went to town and got us a new calico dress apiece We came over to
