227 Friday August 31st 1877. I began early this morning to wash. I got it all done and a cake baked by noon, and done most of the ironing in the afternoon while Hatt cleaned one of the floors up stairs Mother was over to Auntys awhile. At five oclock we girls went over to Wins Mr Given sent up things for supper and we got every thing in order and supper ready by the time she came at 10 oclock. Her Father went to the depot for her. After a pleasant supper, Rob and I came home and left Hatt all night. Saturday September 1st 1877. I helped with the work all the forenoon. Hatt and Win came over late in morning. We got another room cleaned up stairs. Mother went to town right away after dinner and I did some work, then dressed and went over to Wins and stayed till bed time and Hatt and Ott came for me. I wrote a short letter to Pete and sent him and Lizzie a paper.
