229 Tuesday September 4th 1877. We girls quilted two comforts today, and got them all bound. In the afternoon Mother and I did a lot of mending and I went to town just at evening and got some muslin to make pillow cases. I felt awful tired tonight. Wednesday September 5th 1877. I sewed all day and all evening on the pillow cases. Mother went to town twice Hatt did the work most all day. Winnie was over in the afternoon. Weather real pleasant. Thursday September 6th 1877. Mother went to the valley and was gone all day. Hatt did the work and I sewed. I finished the pillow cases and made Lee a couple of colored shirts Mother brought home a lot of tomatoes from the valley. Friday September 7th 1877. I did a little washing this morning and helped some about the work. Mother was putting up tomatoes. Mrs Robinson called here.
