239. Saturday September 29th 1877. I baked and did house-work nearly all day. I finished fixing the halls. Mrs Fracker and Mrs Fosberry called in the afternoon. At five oclock I went to town to order groceries and took supper at Wins and then her and I went up to society where we met Rob, Bird, Hatt, & Pottle and all of us went to the depot to meet Charlie and Kelse. We had a jolly walk, but were tired enough. Sunday September 30th 1877 I worked all the forenoon helping get the dinner ready. In the afternoon Charlie & Rob with we four girls took a ride to the valley It was supper time when we got home. The young folks went to church and I did the work up. Monday October 1st 1877. It took all the forenoon to get dinner and I washed out a few things in the afternoon. They hung the folding doors today. Win was over in the afternoon. I went to town as she did I got some calico for myself. The boys were down tonight and we had a jolly time at cards
