242. Wednesday October 10th 1877. I was busy sewing all day fixing up some of Hatts old dress skirts. In the evening we girls went to town and after doing our shopping spent the time at Wins till the boys came for us. Thursday October 11th 1877. I finished up some odd jobs and cut out a new calico dress for Mother and worked at it all the afternoon and evening, I had a letter from Pete which I answered tonight. Weather still gloomy. Friday October 12th 1877. I worked all day on Mothers dress but did not get it quite done. In the evening I cut and basted cuffs and collars. It was a bad night but the boys all went to society. It was late when I went to bed. Saturday October 13th 1877. I baked my cake and helped with the work till dinner time I then sat down and finished Mothers dress so she could wear it to town. Win was over and Hatt went home with her. I made the pillows for our bed. In the evening I worked on the cuffs and collars, got them ready for button-holes.
