246 dress and Birdie and I went down town and she went up on the hill with me. Miss Lewis had some other young ladies there to supper. Charlie came after Birdie. A letter from Owen. Sunday October 28th 1877. We went to church twice and were into see Mrs Gillett. Charlie was up to see us a little while in the afternoon I did not feel very well. I wrote to Hattie in the afternoon. Monday October 28th 1877. I helped Miss Lewis a little in the morning. And in the afternoon Miss Ella Lewis and I went over to Mrs Walters. I came down to the house before supper time and in the evening Charlie, Bird, Kelse and myself went down to the depot to see Miss Lewis and Miss Ella start east. Weather pleasanter. Tuesday October 30th 1877. We were at home all day. I had a long letter from Hattie. In the evening we went up to Mrs Allens to an oyster supper. Did not come home till bed time. The boys were up and we played cards. Wednesday October 31st 1877. Home all the forenoon and in the afternoon Bird and I went down town and I got Hattie and I a cloak. We spent the evening at home Ella Williams staid here all night. I wrote a postal card to Hattie.
