248. Monday November 5th 1877 Bird and I went down town early this morning and got the hall lamp. I was busy till noon and first thing after dinner I went up on the hill to make some calls. I came back to Mrs Dowdneys and Bird was there. We took supper and spent a pleasant evening at home. Bird and I sat up real late for Charlie to come home. Tuesday November 6th 1877. I got an early start home. Bird and Charlie with both the Young boys came to the depot with me. Lee met me at West Liberty. I was sick all the way home. I went to bed early. Wednesday November 7th 1877. I did not feel well today I helped a little with the house-work and put in the rest of the time knitting, Hatt went to the theater again, tonight. Thursday November 8th 1877 I felt some better but put in most of day knitting. It was a snowy miserable day. I wrote a letter to Charlie in the afternoon. I guess it is a good thing I got home when I did!
