Saturday April 29- 1933 I did the regular work and got ready to go home with Rob at noon. I looked over some of the pictures we thought to destroy. Rob brought me home after supper. I paid Mrs Gay the rent for May [45:00}? today. Wrote Birdie & Mattie Stilt. Sunday April 30- 1933 There was a hard rain early this morning. I rode to church with Elmer Anderson. Otts car not done yet. I had dinner here and read and slept in afternoon. The Gays gone to West Liberty. Vera Thompson died yesterday PM. I wrote Lena & Edith in the evening. William has been in bed a week with that old rheumatic trouble. Monday May 1st 1933 I did some washing and other work in the forenoon. Mary came for me at one o'clock to spend the afternoon there. William about the same. She brought me home about four o'clock. I stopped at the Library. The Gays at West Liberty to attend Vera Thompson funeral. [Foreman]? Hill died today. A hard rain tonight. Tuesday May 2- 1933 Weather cooler. I was home all day. I did ironing got the meals slept and read some. Letter from Winnie. Wednesday May 3- 1933 I did my morning work and walked up to the Light Co to pay bill then to Dr [Smiths]? office, did not get to talk to him. Went to the church by Bus. A nice day but small meeting. Rob took Hattie & me a short ride and I stayed up there till after supper. Cora & Mildred McCallister to Cedar Rapids.
