Thursday June 8- 1933 Mary tok me up town in forenoon. I paid some bills and bought me a pair of shoes. When I got home at eleven oclock dressed to go to Office [Sterns]? to a Red meeting. such a pleasant time. The evening here alone. went to bed rather early. weather cools Friday June 9- 1933 I have such an ugly cough I dont know how to account for it I did some cleaning in AM. Hattie here awhile early in PM. I sewed some after she went home. Had a ride with Mrs Gay and Aunt ofter supper Saturday June 10- 1933 I slept better last night. awfully hot in forenoon [Coramith]? Helen [Whinniny]? drove to Des Moines early her sister Ruth and family will be there today on their way to California to stay. I wrote M E [illegible] I went up to Hatties by taxi in PM. Came home at p. oclocl Hattie called to see [illegible] read evening Sunday June 11- 1933 Hattie to SS [&]? church. Celt brought her home and stayed till two oclock we all slept in PM. Later Rob and [Cora]? went to ride. The weather has changed to cooler. I wrote [Lorna]? [&]? Edith and read some. To bed early Monday June 12- 1933 I came home about ten oclock. I got some thing to eat and was lying down all ofternoon. I coughed so hard. Dr. [Ned]? here in OM. Hattie here late she had been to Home board meeting. Letter from [Winnie] to bed early.
