Tuesday August 1st- 1933 We left home at six oclock and Mr [illegible]? was ready to go with us to [illegible] where we arrived in time for Bus to [Roch]? Island at eight oclock. Peasant ride. I had dinner there and reached home at four oclock. Took a taxi home. I went home with Celt for supper. Williams brough me home Letters here from The Peckhams, [Winnie]? [&]? ME [illegible]? Wednesday August 2- 1933 I did washing and some cleaning in forenoon went home with Rob at [noon]?. I rested in PM and did not come home till after supper. It rained and turned cooler. letters from Brown Girls Thursday August 3- 1933 Weather so cool and fine. I did some ironing and read paper in AM. Slept awhile in PM Hattie went to Stevens for a little visit. after early supper, wrote [Winnie]? and took it to the box. Down stairs Friday August 4- 1933 I went up in the attic and got things out of a trunk to be looked over. William came at ten oclock and took me to Dr. [Whities]? for treatment for the spot on my neck. Celt here for dinner we talked about my taking the small apartment Mrs. Gay. I paid for [40.00]? on this months rent. I [illegible]? in the afternoon looking over things [illegible] to destroy I spent the evening with Mrs Gay. Weather delightful [illegible] today [Lydia]? died
