Sunday January 28- 1934 It was a very cold day with high wind. I am better but not out of the house all day Mrs Gay up awhile in the evening. I wrote Mattie Still Cora home from Chicago Monday January 29- 1934 a very cold day we were not out of the house I worked on Idas table cover. Mrs Gay up in evening Tuesday January 30- 1934 I put in such a bad night with my cold I had Dr New Smith come in the forenoon celt here for dinner. Hattie came late in PM Mrs Gay took she and Ida to the M E church to turkey supper. She brought mine to me. Wednesday January 31st- 1934 Weather more moderate. We were home all day I working on Idas table cover and she on her quilt I cough very hard especially in the mornings Thursday February 1st- 1934 Home all day. Did the regular work. Hattie here part of the forenoon. Crotcheded all aftermorn and evening Mallie here in the evening Friday February 2- 1934 Not very cold. Ida up town to get thread for me to use. I worked all day and till late bed-time on Idas table cover Ida busy with her quilt. I still cough and feel very bad with this cold. I have not been out for a week.
