Monday July 30- 1934 The girls did the washing I was in bed most of the day Had letter from Celt with some of LeErand sent on Letters from Nellie [&]? Betty wrote Hattie and sent them to her This is Edith Whitstones birth-day Evening on the porch. Harry called up at 8- oclock Tuesday July 31st- 1934 I was not up till after dinner Letter from Winnie wrote card to Hattie. I was on the porch in evening very warm these days Wednesday August 1st- 1934 a very sultry day. I was up very little a shower late in the afternoon. Letter from Mallie Stevens wrote Winnie [&]? Hattie Friday August 3- 1934 I feel some better. The girls both away at different times in forenoon. I was up later in afternoon lying on the couch when The Whitstones with Birdie came to see me for a half hour. Such a surprise and I was so glad to see them. The evening on the porch. Saturday August 4- 1934 I was up part of the forenoon. I had letter from Ida wrote cards to her and Hattie. Letters to Birdie and Emma Herriott. I rested most of the PM. and Miss [Thrachamartin]? called she used to live in Ohio On the porch in the evening. four years today Lydia died.
