Friday September 14 - 1934 I was home all day. I worked at my crochet work slept awhile in the afternoon. Mrs Gay busy with ironing and other things. Weather some cooler. Saturday September 15 - 1934 Mrs Gay at the shop most of the day. Mrs Welsh here at work. I did some work on the chair back Mollie here in the P.M. Hattie here later Ott came and took us to the Jefferson to a dinner to honor Mrs Pelzer and the unveiling of historical murals. Home at 10:30 very enjoyable. It is 50 years today since Bro Rob died. Sunday September 16 - 1934 Went to the M E Church with Floyd & Mollie After dinner I wrote Sue King. Mrs Gay took Mr Gay to the station to go to Chicago. Later we went to West Liberty. I read the papers most of the P.M. fine day Monday September 17 - 1934 I was busy with my crochet work most of the forenoon Went to Cedar Rapids with Mrs Gay in afternoon. A pleasant ride. She went out in the evening I read and worked at my chair back. Tuesday September 18 - 1934 I was up looking over things up in trunks and boxes in forenoon. Mr Gay home this morning I was busy most of the day. Mrs Gay at the shop part of the time. I went up to the Library to take back books and get others before supper.
